The effect of interval and continuous training with resveratrol on some of the oxidative stress markers of heart tissue in streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats

Abstract: Introduction: Diabetes is the leading cause of mortality is considered. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of interval and continuous training with resveratrol on some of the apoptosis markers (Bax and Bcl2) of heart tissue in streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats. Material and method: This study was experimental. The population of the research project Wistar male rats (250-300 g) are about two years. The animals were divided into 8 groups (control-healthy (n=7), control diabetes (n=7), diabetes-saline, diabetes-supplement, diabetes-continuous training, diabetes-interval training, diabetes- continuous training- supplement, diabetes- interval training -supplement). Diabetes mellitus was induced by intraperitoneal injection of streptozotocin with dose of 50 mg / kg. Resveratrol at a dose of 20 mg per kg body weight was injected intraperitoneally to the supplement groups. 48 hours after the last exercise and supplements session the mice have been sacrificed, heart tissue is removed and it's used to measure the desired variables. Results: Heart levels BAX and Bcl2 showed a significant difference between the groups (P = 0.046). So that , there is a significant difference between control diabetes with diabetes-supplement, diabetes-continuous training, diabetes-interval training, diabetes- continuous training- supplement, diabetes- interval training -supplement (P <0.001). Conclusion: The results of this study showed that exercise trainings increase Bcl2 and decrease Bax. This improvement was higher when resveratrol was used.
