Design and Preparation a Novel Double Layers Electromagnetic Shield in Radar Radiation

Introduction and aim: this study carried out to design and prepare novel double layer electromagnetic Nano composite to control the intensity of X-band frequency range.
Material and Methods: this study used the Resin Epoxy and the Nickel Oxide nanoparticles as matrix and filler. Double layer Nano composite plates prepared by single layer Nano composites that were on each other in three different thicknesses and nine various loading weight of filler. Shielding effectiveness were measured using Vector Network Analyzers in X-band frequency range.
Results: the highest average of shielding effectiveness was obtained 52.51% in double layers. Shielding effectiveness increased by Changing thickness from 8 to 10 mm and 8 to 12 mm. Enhancement of filler loading and change in the layer arrangement could not affect the shielding effectiveness.
Conclusion: In this study, a novel double layer electromagnetic Nano composites were design and prepared using the nickel oxide nanoparticles and Resin Epoxy in X-band frequency range that was able to act like a Half Value Layer. Also, all double layers Nano composites could exhibit attenuation values more than a Half Value Layer. In this research, change in arrangement of layers and increase in total thickness and filler contents had not important role in enhancing the shielding effectiveness. It is recommended that in future studies the effect of type of fillers and integration in structure of double layer shields be investigated.
